Sheng-Lin Chou Secretary General, Taiwan Association of Information and Communication Standards

As the Secretary General of TAICS and the Deputy General Director of ICL/ ITRI, Dr. Sheng-Lin has devoted himself to Networking and Telecommunication fields for almost 30 years.

Recently, he focuses on 5G/B4G, IP telephony (VoIP system), all-IP networking systems, and wireless communication system technologies development.

Some specific systems gain great achievements under his supervision, like NP (Number Portability) system, which successfully served in TAIWAN since 2007.

In 1992, CSIE Departments of National Chiao-Tung University invited him to be Adjunct Associate Professor; in 2010, being Adjunct Professor, Dr. Chou started to teach EE Department in National Taiwan University.

Not only in academia, but Chou is also active in industry. From 2007 to 2010, Dr. Chou worked in TECO Co. as the General Director of TECO Research Institute, and then stayed in VMAX telecom Co. to be the CTO and VP responsible for the WiMAX network deployment.
